An American actor best known for his role as Frodo Baggins in the "Lord Of The Rings" film trilogy, Elijah Wood experienced cinema stardom both as a child and an adult. His other film credits include "Deep Impact", "The Faculty", "The Ice Storm", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "Sin City."
Long before the off-Broadway show "Stomp" capitalized on the percussive aspect of dance, tap had it down pat. As practitioners of the style are apt to point out, tap is movement, but it's also drumming. Those metal plates on their shoes aren't just there for decoration.

Lord of the Rings trilogy while filming
The Faculty (1998). Immediately, he sensed that this was the chance of a lifetime. Director George Huang, a personal friend of Wood's, filmed his audition tape for the
Lord of the Rings trilogy. He shot the scene from different angles which were cut together for the video. They sent the video off to New Zealand for director Peter Jackson and a few months later, he got the part.
