Having joined the National League in 1969, the San Diego Padres have had a history of great moments, winning the NL titles in 1984 and 1998. While the young team has not won a World Series title, they've featured amazing talents such as Tony Gwynn, Dave Winfield, Willie McCovey, Gaylord Perry and Ozzie Smith.
Because nothing has happened so far, some Padres fans are beginning to think Jake Peavy will be the Padres' Opening Day starter come next April.
