An American basketball player, Greg Oden became one of the top high school players in the country. He was widely considered to be the obvious #1 overall selection in the 2006 NBA draft until the league changed its rules and no longer allowed high schoolers to enter the draft. In 2005, Oden committed to Ohio State for a basketball scholarship.
