Within months of passing her senior test in the summer of 1999, Sasha finished second in the 2000 U.S. Championships. She won the short program and was second in the freeskate.
Sasha missed the 2000-2001 season due to a back injury. But she came back last year earning second at the U.S. Championships and fourth at the Olympics and World Championships.
"To be a really good skater you have to work hard and really have to love it," Sasha said.
Entering the 2002-2003 season Sasha has set some lofty goals. One is to become the first female to land a quadruple jump in competition.
