A franchise most famous for the 1919 scandal that almost destroyed the sport, the Chicago White Sox have seen flashes of glory where they've rivaled even the lovable loser Chicago Cubs in popularity, most notabley their 2005 World Series win. The White Sox were still waiting to make it official, but they now know that 19-year-old Cuban defector Dayan Viciedo will be joining them once his visa problems are cleared up and he can come to Chicago for his physical.
