An American baseball outfielder, Carl Crawford made his major league debut with the
Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2002. He was an All-Star in 2004. He was the league leader in triples in 2004 and 2005 and stolen bases in 2003 and 2004.
Rays manager Joe Maddon was looking ahead to spring training even while sitting behind the desk inside the visiting manager's office at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia before Game 4 of the World Series.
